God Can Be Trusted in ANY Season: Our interview with Dallas Jenkins Director of The Chosen

I was hesitant to watch another TV series about the Life of Jesus. Don't get me wrong, Jesus is my everything, but somehow I haven't felt that Hollywood has done my Lord and Savior justice; until now!

Dallas Jenkins, director of The Chosen, was the son of Jerry Jenkins author of the Left Behind series. He grew up in a home with an understanding that media can influence. Dallas wanted to use his life, talents and passion to make movies to help people understand the freedom that is found in the grace and love of Jesus Christ.

With major support in funding, Dallas produced a huge film called The Resurrection of Gavin Stone, a movie about " A washed-up former child star, forced to do community service at a local megachurch, pretends to be a Christian to land the part of Jesus in their annual Passion Play, only to discover that the most important role of his life is far from Hollywood".  However, the film flopped in the box office.

Dallas Jenkins shares with us on The Talking Story Podcast his journey how God used a flop to help him launch into his true purpose that is getting the realness of the gospel into the hearts of millions all around the world.
